A new year, another deadline, another deletion: As every year, the legally mandated deletion of tachograph data is due. Companies are obliged to delete this data after one year at the latest.
The deletion date this year is Monday, 31.03.2025
For TSI customers, this happens automatically - you don't have to worry about anything. TSI will ensure that the data is deleted on time. All affected customers are currently also being informed by email.
Deviating retention periods?
Should deviating retention periods apply to your data, you should check whether the deadlines recorded for you are correct - unless you have already done so in previous years.
Other retention periods may arise, for example, from using the data from driver cards or tachographs to track working hours and/or wages, as well as in some other cases. Further details on which retention periods may apply to you can be found in our article from 2024.
Which data is to be deleted?
Only the tachograph data will be deleted - i.e. the data from the tachographs in the vehicles and the data downloaded from driver cards.
All other recorded data will, of course, be fully retained and is stored in accordance with the data retention periods of your booked services.
